Here's my Black Friday loot. Did most of the shopping online. Shoes were bought at a local Skechers store. Some of the prices listed in the links no longer reflect the original Black Friday sale prices, but dudes... everything came out very cheap. W00t!!!

The Grand Opening Party for LUSH Anaheim is this Saturday, OMG!!!! My sister and I have already sent in our RSVPs and we are ready to stock up on yummy-smelling stuff that we don't need! YAY! Of course, we're also looking forward to getting the FREE goodie bags so I hope it doesn't get too crazy and they end up running out. In the meantime, I'll just drown myself in this cuz I'm pretty much obsessed with the smell and I might just need a new tin by Saturday.

Wallet, beware.

Skins Season 1 DVD is being shipped today. Thank you, Netflix! (And thank you, f-list.)

Had a couple of sips of Guinness on St. Patrick's Day. It's interesting that I actually didn't hate it compared to other beers that I've tasted. I still don't like beer, but hmm... interesting. Anyways, I enjoyed wearing green and seeing other people wear green. Green everywhere!!!

Gone with the Wind on #1 makes me sad. Am I the only one who didn't like that movie? It sucks cuz the movie was probably great story-wise, but I just hate Scarlett O'Hara so much that she ruined the entire film for me. I know, I know... a lot of people have reasons why she's such a strong and admirable character, but frankly the bitch just annoyed me. Like, stop it, Scarlett. Stop being... the way you are.

Counting down the days until the holiday break...

Did you know that I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet? Oh how I miss the days when my parents used to buy the presents for the family. Now that responsibility has landed on me and my sister. We were doing fine, but now the money's kinda' tight and we have A LOT of cousins. Alas, we shall resort to $10 gift cards. So if you're my cousin and you're reading this blog entry, you WILL get a $10 gift card.

Next year I'm totally organizing a Secret Santa thing. I'm sure my over-21 cousins would appreciate this ::crosses fingers:: I doubt me and my sister are the only ones who have inherited the burden of buying presents for everybody...

The Library Christmas party is today! I'm so ready to eat! And then tomorrow the dean of the library (my boss) is having a party at her house so I'm going there too. Mmm... food.

And speaking of food, I haven't gone to the gym at all this week.

The rain came back yesterday. I got my pants, my shoes, and my socks wet again. It's soooo cold at night too!!! Since I can't use a space heater in my room, I have to bury myself under four blankets. Going to sleep sucks at first because the first 10 minutes in my bed is freezing, but after a while it warms up and it's the comfiest sleep ever!

This weekend was... hot. It was hot and yucky in my room and I want it to END already. I can't wait for frigging winter.

Anyways, I bummed around a lot and watched a few tear-jerker movies and cried. Oh, and I also bought new shirts from Threadless.com:

Speaking of buying stuff, I also bought new games for my Nintendo DS. Yep, I bought Jam Sessions and Flash Focus. And one day, I will buy Guitar Hero: On Tour. Weeee!

Remember my shoe-shopping-spree post from Sunday? Yeah, I got all three shoes but I'm returning the last two -- the green one and the purple one. The problem with ordering from Zappos is that you can never try on any of the shoes. The purple ZooYork one was too small and the green KangaROOS were hella comfortable on my heels (most comfortable shoes I've ever worn) but the backs were too high and they dug into the back of my feet. The Nike Vandals were purchased in store so I got to try them on. I'm so glad I decided not to buy them online because, as it turned out, even though my shoe size is 6.5, they are size 8 in that particular shoe style. Big difference, eh?? So yay for free shipping and yay for full refunds!!!

***

I ordered this headset for my Blackberry. I'm SO done with my too-big-for-my-ears earbuds. I had to have something that's comfortable enough for my 6-hour phone conversations. The only problem is that according to my order status on Amazon.com, I'm not gonna get my new headset 'til April 22nd. Booo. Anyway, it's cheap. Didn't have any stellar reviews but I'll take it.

Oooh, let me tell you about my weekend of MUSIC, dudes.
On Saturday I went to Bamboozle Left with my friend (and ex co-worker) Ashley and we had a BLAST. Paramore and Jimmy Eat World rocked my socks off and guess what? Despite the thick mass of people, we managed to get up to the barricades up front!!! How awesome is that?!! I'm tellin' ya... Ashley can REALLY squeeze through crowds. I was amazed. Even when we left our spot to grab some lunch, we were able to get back to that same exact area afterwards.

Unfortunately, I missed The Cab's performance because they went up early while we were waiting in line to get in. I was so disappointed. But anyways, we did see other bands: The Morning Light (who were so adorable that I actually bought their EP), Rookie of the Year, The Starting Line, Story of the Year, Alkaline Trio, Daphne Loves Derby, RX Bandits, The Bouncing Souls, Face to Face...

But the best ones were still Jimmy Eat World and frigging PARAMORE!!!!!!
GAH! Hayley Williams owned that shit!

***

On Sunday, Ashley and I saw Jason Mraz at the Troubadour!!! OMG, I love love love that guy. I took lots of photos, but since I'm still experimenting with my new camera, a lot of them turned out grainy. Here's a couple anyway :)

Aaaand... here's a video that I took! ENJOY!

SATURDAY --

I went hoodie-shopping with my brother. I figured... hey, I'm gonna meet 3 breakdancers in the SYTYCD tour in LA. I gotz ta look tizzight. right? Well, ya know, I thought I can just grab the coolest medium-sized guy hoodie that I can get my hands on and I'd be on my merry way. Well, I was WRONG. Since when did it become difficult to shop for hoodies, man? I understand that the regular girl sizes usually don't fit me, but men's? Why do they gotta be hella slim, nowadays? Where'd all the baggy ones go? Anyways, I ended up getting this...

... in EXTRA LARGE. What the feezy?
I'm saying, dooodz... this better be worth it.

***

SUNDAY --

Disneyland, wut-wut!!!
What ever would I do if I didn't have an annual pass? It's the best stress reliever I've ever bought.

***

MONDAY --

I was stuck in traffic for like, an hour. There was an accident on the 405 and I think they closed the entire freeway or something. And on top of that, there was some road construction going on in Lincoln Blvd. so everyone was trying to fit into this one tiny lane. I took a nap on the bus and woke up feeling refreshed. Then I listened to BT's "Madskillz/Mic Chekka" over and over and over again just to pump me up for the day. I have a meeting until 6:30 PM so I needed the extra adrenalin.

***

My Veronica Mars season 3 DVDs came!!! Oh my, they're so so pretty. I couldn't help but admire the box. I think I'll be having a series marathon soon. BTW, speaking of DVDs, I made an online list of all the DVDs that I own! You can see it here:

http://xrogue81.dvdaf.com/owned

A few of them are actually VHS tapes, but I do intend on replacing them with DVDs. And I've got a couple that's not even listed on the site so they're not included on my list.

I fell into the GAP... and then some.

Since I ruined my favorite pair of super laid-back trousers from American Eagle, I desperately needed some "replacement pants." Luckily, GAP had these on sale:

Wide, loose-fitting legs. Just the way I like 'em. I got one in each color and I'm totally nervous about the fit so hopefully everything will work out. *crosses fingers* Usually when I shop for pants that are NOT jeans, I tend to want to throw stuff at the wall cuz none of 'em fit right. So I really NEED this, man! Do *not* fail me, online shopping!

I got summoned for jury duty. UGH!!!
On a brighter note, I might just get some reading done while waiting to see if my name gets called.

Um, yeah. Went to Disneyland this Sunday with Meghan and Sonia and it was ossom. Daylight Savings Time threw me off so I woke up late, but we were there by 10:30 AM and outta' there by 8:30 PM. Man, I was so tired. It was hot too! There was a brush fire in the neighboring mountains so the sky was smoky and ashes were flying EVERYWHERE!!! Oh yeah, the Matterhorn ride broke down too so we were stuck in line for about an hour.

(And also, I bought the CUTEST Mickey Mouse ring. I love it more than my Tiffany and Co. ring.)

***

I watched the movie 300 with my brother and I really enjoyed it. It's visually stunning cuz like... all the guys had 8-packs or something. You cannot be a Spartan soldier unless you have an 8-pack.

I also went to Metropark and bought a couple of shirts. So pretty!!! Unfortunately, I really shouldn't be buying shirts cuz what I need are pants!!! Yep, I totally ripped one of my slacks and I was gonna buy a replacement, but American Eagle doesn't sell 'em anymore :(

I spent most of my weekend walking around malls. I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping. Oh, and by the way... Starbucks has the cutest little envelopes for their gift cards!!! (And no, [livejournal.com profile] sleepymonster, the giftcards weren't for you... hehehehe.)

My sister got me the following for my birthday/christmas present:
- Roswell season 1
- Roswell season 2
- Roswell season 3
- Arrested Development season 1

And might I add that she's one of the people who I haven't bought presents for yet? I'm stumped. She said she wanted some Steve Madden shoes, but they never carry a size 5. Well, they had one on display last Saturday but they couldn't find the other pair. Why does my sister have to have the freakiest tiny feet?

My cousins are cool, man. I used to dread going to our little family gatherings cuz of the adults who seem to love crushing my self-esteem, but my cousins are really chill and... worth my time. Hehehe. Nintendo Wii REALLY brings everyone closer together :)

***

Anyways, so Costco is dangerous. #1 because I'm scared of shopping carts (they make me anxious, especially in crowded supermarkets) and #2 the DVDs are cheap (I bought the Bones boxed set and I totally didn't mean to). On the upside, I got some Christmas shopping done. I gotta tell ya, asking the question "What do you want for Christmas?" is a smart thing to do. Makes shopping a lot easier. Plus, it ensures that the recipients will actually enjoy their presents :D

I know most of you are thinking, "Uh... what's wrong with it?" Well... I have too many frakking .jpeg's and .avi's on there that needs to be categorized into neat little folders. Cuz right now they're just all up on my pretty wallpaper and I don't like it. But for some reason I just keep "rescheduling" the cleanup. I keep telling myself that I'll do it next weekend, but then the weekend comes and... nothing. I'm either out shopping or losering on MySpace. I need to make some new LJ icons too cuz the ones I currently have are totally outdated, but do I actually go on Photoshop to make 'em? Nope. Why? Cuz I don't have time. Why don't I have time? Cuz I'm either out shopping or losering on MySpace. Blech. My time management skills have taken a HUGE nose dive since I graduated.

***

Hello. Long time no post. Well, it's only been four days, really. But anyways... here's a recap :)

Thanksgiving was nice. We had a family gathering, as usual, but it was actually fun! The kids and teens played the new Nintendo "Wii" in the living room and the adults watched a tape of the Pacquiao/Morales fight in the family room. I didn't eat much because my sicky-ness ruined my apetite, but it's all good.

I did go shopping on Black Friday, but I mostly did it online. Got a bunch of DVDs from BestBuy.com and I also bought a 2-gig memory card for my camera for only $29.99!!! I was gonna buy an external hard drive for my laptop too cuz it was hella cheap... but for some reason I didn't :( I suck. I'm filled with regret.

Health update: I'm still sniffling and coughing, but I feel so much better. Thanks, Nyquil!

I also started watching Supernatural, which is great. I never get to see it on its regular time cuz it conflicts with The Office so I had to wait 'til I can get it through Netflix. I saw the first two discs with my sister this weekend and she really loved it! I also had a mini Angel marathon. I'm now watching the episode where Cordelia died. Here comes the waterworks...

Hmm... so, what else? Oh yeah, I totally subscribed to this chick's YouTube account cuz DAAAAAAMN she's good. She's 18 and she's from the Netherlands and she can FRAKKING SING. Here's a sample. No shit.

I didn't get the gray dress, though. I bought it in burgundy instead.

By the way, I was *this* close to buying an Ed Hardy hoodie. Yeah, it costs about $150 so I hesitated. Anyway, I also bought a new purse!!! Yeah, it's this olive green bag with a turquoise strap and a big ole' purple SKULL in the front. Yeah, I think I've developed a thing for skulls. When my Betsey Johnson bag arrives, I'm gonna have a total of 3 "skull" purses. It actually took a lot of energy to keep myself from buying this hat too:

MEET DONNY.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Donny is a drag queen teddy bear from Hollywood. She is named after Donyelle Jones from SYTYCD. She is wearing a black wig with bangs because... well, Donyelle has black hair with bangs.

She wanted to wear an orange shirt with brown gaucho pants, but the frakking Build-A-Bear store only had pink and blue and Disney character costumes. Donny don't play dat. So she said, "Fuck it... I'll be girly."

Donny is wearing pink underwear because she is naughty. She will show you her underwear if you ask her nicely.

Donny wants a teddy bear mate. She prefers cross dressers like herself. So maybe one day, Rogue will buy a light-furred chick teddy bear who likes to dress up as a Mormon missionary dude. She will name him Benji. And they will be each other's dance partners for all eternity.
