DOLLHOUSE. omg.
I was thinking, "Hmm... this ep is kinda slow-going," and then BAM! Shocker ending.  I can't believe there's only two more episodes.  TWO!  I need this show in my life, y'all!

I bought seasons 1 and 2 of "Popular" on DVD.  SQUEE!  I need a marathon someday.  And I say "someday" because I have other shows that I need to marathon.  Gosh, where will I ever find the time?

Just for my own reference:
I've seen Wicked a total of 7 times.  I've seen 6 different Elphabas and 5 different Galindas.  I've seen Eden Espinosa perform twice and Megan Hilty three times.  They are still my favorite duo.

Oooh!  OOOOH!!!!  I went to Disneyland last Friday after work!!!!  Man, it's so good to finally use my Annual Pass.  I thought I had renewed it for nothing.  Now I just need a couple more trips to make it worthwhile.

The Grand Opening Party for LUSH Anaheim is this Saturday, OMG!!!! My sister and I have already sent in our RSVPs and we are ready to stock up on yummy-smelling stuff that we don't need! YAY! Of course, we're also looking forward to getting the FREE goodie bags so I hope it doesn't get too crazy and they end up running out. In the meantime, I'll just drown myself in this cuz I'm pretty much obsessed with the smell and I might just need a new tin by Saturday.

Hi.  It's raining.  Don't you just love the rain?  I do, I do!!!!  Especially when I'm in my room under my warm cuddle blanket just snoozing away...

But when I'm outdoors and I have to walk from the bus stop to the library, the rain is not so great.  Like today, for example, my pants got wet all the way up to my thighs.  My shoes got wet too, thus making my socks hella soggy.  NOT COOL, rain.  Not cool.

On Friday night Ray-Ray, Jenn-Jenn, and Meghan took me out for my birthday dinner.  We went to Hennessey's Tavern in Manhattan Beach and since that was where I badly injured my ankle, I was very careful with my steps.  Anyway, we made it just in time for happy hour and early bird dinner!!!!  Yay!!!  Ten-dollar flat-iron steaks all around!!  The funny thing is, the place was totally empty when we got there.  But by the time we left, it was packed with old people!  I don't get it!  Why not take advantage of the early bird special, grandma?  WHY?!!

On Saturday, it was my family's turn to take me out for my birthday.  We were supposed to go to TGI Fridays, but got excited when my sister informed me that we're going to Mr. Lee's Korean BBQ instead.  SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I gotta say, I haven't eaten that much Korean BBQ since... the first time I ate at Mr. Lee's.  That's some good stuff, yo.

Presents!!!!

I didn't really get a lot of presents.  My dad gave me these pretty flip-flops, which was nice.  Meghan and Michelle gave me this kick-ass card that said, "You're a human sparkler, you are."  My BFF Lisa gave me the softest, prettiest, snuggle socks ever!!!!  And... are you ready for this... my baby also gave me the Planet Earth DVD set!!!!  Eeeeeeeeeee!!!!  I'm a geeeeek!!!!  I loves it!!!!

Nope, I haven't seen Twilight yet. I have no intention of watching it, but I keep hearing about how LOL-tastically BAD it really is so now it's becoming more and more of a must-see. Damn you all to hell.

***

I'm still not done with my "30 Rock" marathon. I just don't have enough time to watch everything that I want to watch even though I've already deleted a couple of shows from my Tivo queue. Heck, I even started watching "Heroes" and "The Office" at work (thanks Hulu!) so I don't have to watch them at home, but when I get home it's like, "Oh... I've got Netflix movies too?? Dammit!" I swear, one of these days I'm gonna end up canceling either TiVo or Netflix...

Speaking of "things to watch," the following DVDs have been purchased:
  • Bones, Season 3
  • Scrubs, Season 7
  • Little Manhattan
  • Bourne Trilogy boxed set
  • Be Kind Rewind
  • Casablanca
Dear lord, where will I stash these things? I'm running out of shelf space!!! Oh, by the way... WTF is up with "Pushing Daisies" getting axed?!! I know that the ratings sucked, but man... it's my favorite TV show besides "Bones."

Why are Vosges chocolate bars so damn expensive?  I've been curious about some of their flavors but the price just ruins my choco-apetite.  Boooooo.  Speaking of chocolate, I went to Starbucks yesterday and found out that they sell White Hot Chocolate.  Whyyy didn't I know about this???  The whole time I've been ordering regular hot chocolate, I could have been ordering this instead!  (Yes, I love white chocolate.  I don't see what the big deal is with dark chocolate.  I hate dark chocolate.)  Wee!  I'm looking forward to my next Starbucks trip.  I'll order venti this time ;)

The LMU Library now has a MySpace, thanks to my homie Ray-Ray. At first I'm all "OMG, this is cool!" but after being added to the library's f-list, I started feeling uncomfortable. There goes my default picture, on the Top Friends section, accessible to all library staff members. Now, I dunno about you... but my MySpace is sort of my "home away from work." It's okay for a few employees to know about it, but when my own boss starts showing my page to University Relations reps, then it's a whole new ballgame. I quickly emailed Ray-Ray and I asked to be taken off the library's f-list. I mean, that's just weird, yo. Well, hello there. Merry Christmas Eve! Let me tell you what's the haps.

I'm finally caught up with Battlestar Galactica: RAZOR. Thank you, Netflix! I haven't read any of you guys' reviews cuz I didn't wanna spoil myself (shocker!) but holy DAMN, that was good. I really really enjoyed it and now I'm thinking maybe I should buy the DVD? I dunno. I know if I get it I'm gonna want to get the rest of the BSG DVDs and I just... don't have room for them on my book DVD case.

And on that note, my sister told me that I can get rid of her bed so I can have room for more DVD storage. She was actually giving me a chance to claim our room as my own since she's never home anyway. I might take her up on that offer... but right now I rather find it convenient to dump all my shit on her bed: mail, dirty laundry, DVDs I don't have room for, etc. I can definitely get used to this. But not yet. I still find it weird waking up in the morning and there's no one sleeping on the bed right next to mine :(

Anyways... enough with that.
I also saw The Color Purple at the Ahmanson Theatre last Saturday and I enjoyed it very much. LaToya London (of American Idol) and Michelle Williams (of Destiny's Child) played two of the leads. I laughed, I wept, I cheered...

... and damn, that Michelle Williams was pretty good! I never thought I'd see her gospel-singin' self wear nothin but a nude-colored g-string and kissing a girl. WHOA! I was impressed.

Well, ya know, I thought I can just grab the coolest medium-sized guy hoodie that I can get my hands on and I'd be on my merry way. Well, I was WRONG. Since when did it become difficult to shop for hoodies, man? I understand that the regular girl sizes usually don't fit me, but men's? Why do they gotta be hella slim, nowadays? Where'd all the baggy ones go? Anyways, I ended up getting this...

SUNDAY --

Disneyland, wut-wut!!!
What ever would I do if I didn't have an annual pass? It's the best stress reliever I've ever bought.

MONDAY --

I was stuck in traffic for like, an hour. There was an accident on the 405 and I think they closed the entire freeway or something. And on top of that, there was some road construction going on in Lincoln Blvd. so everyone was trying to fit into this one tiny lane. I took a nap on the bus and woke up feeling refreshed. Then I listened to BT's "Madskillz/Mic Chekka" over and over and over again just to pump me up for the day. I have a meeting until 6:30 PM so I needed the extra adrenalin.

What did I do this weekend?

Oh yeah, I had a marathon of the Planet Earth documentary and then I had a marathon of How I Met Your Mother. Life is grand.

And speaking of HIMYM, how many more Joss Whedon alums are gonna make an appearance, mannn? First it was Wesley... then Fred... then Inara... and I think I saw Andrew in there too... plus the Mayor! WTH? Show Gunn too! Bring Gunn to the show!!! Aaaah! I'd die a gleeful death if that happens!

Anyways... since I had a marathon all weekend, I didn't get the chance to see Friday Night Lights yet... nor have I seen The Office. Come to think of it... I haven't watched last Monday's Prison Break either. Hmm... weird.

SAN FRANCISCO, BABY!

Yes, I took a mini-vacay to San Francisco during Labor Day weekend and it was AWESOME. It's my first time in NorCal so yeah... freaking finally, right??!! I went with my cousin Mylene and we stayed at Hotel Whitcomb, and it was like... in the best location evarrr. Bus stop, BART station, and streetcars just outside the front entrance!!! Union Square and cable cars only a few blocks away!!! So yeah... we walked everywhere. And we rode the cable cars back and forth to Fisherman's Wharf, which was like... totally exciting cuz YAY crooked road!!! They were having this event called "Alcatraz Swim of the Centurions" and like, a whole bunch of people were swimming from The Rock to the beach in front of Ghirardelli Square. So much fun!!! We also took one of those boat tours that go under the Golden Gate Bridge and around the Alcatraz Island. BTW, while I was on the boat, a couple of freaking seagulls were flying RIGHT NEXT TO MY FREAKING FACE!!! Ack! It was like, the scariest thing ever!!!

Anyways, we walked, we shopped, we took pictures, saw some sea lions, passed through Chinatown, pigged out at The Stinking Rose, it was sooooo cool!!!
