I wrote all Penny’s lines and her song, you know
I even sang her part up on the demo
But when it’s time to cast the show
Did they want somebody yellow? Hell no.

- Maurissa Tancharoen, Commentary! The Musical

It’s funny. Over the last year or so, I’ve become less fangirly. I also don’t post much on LiveJournal. Correlation? I think so. But don’t fret, dear readers – I still watch A LOT of TV. It’s ridiculous. I mean, Dollhouse may be ending tonight, but 24, Skins, Chuck, Big Love, and Project Runway just started up again. Crazy. When will I have time to read?

Speaking of reading, I got my Kindle, you guys! Meet Sheldon :)

I love him.  Not as cute as other e-readers out there, but oh... it's just so... thin and light!  Quick enough for my taste too, and battery life is good so far.  The screen looks very paper-like, which is awesome.  And even though it's portable, I don't have to carry it around all the time because it syncs up to the Kindle app on my iPhone!  The question is... how long will it actually take me to finish a book?   I have too many TV shows to watch!

Anyways... I'm currently knitting a little Kindle sleeve for it.  Oh, and I also want to buy this pretty Kindle skin. I know, it's very girly... which is weird because my Kindle is named Sheldon. Maybe Sheldon is a girl.

- (500) Days of Summer

Golden Globes thoughts:
  • Surprisingly, I didn't care whether or not "Glee" won.  At the back of my head, I was rooting for Jane Lynch, but... I wasn't particularly upset when she lost.
  • On the other hand, I cared way too much about (500) Days of Summer.  I didn't expect to be so sad, but... there ya go.

So hit me with some of your favorite books!  I just recently finished Anthem by Ayn Rand (I wanted to re-read it), The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold (meh), and Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk (twisted, but in a good way.)  Right now I'm trying to finish Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides and Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut, but I'm almost done with both and I need new books to read!  Thanks in advance for your help :)

I should also mention that I ordered a Kindle 2 from Amazon.  Took me over a week to decide, but I eventually chose it over the oh-so-pretty Nook and the cool-looking Sony E-Reader (Touch Edition).  I'm so excited!!! I'm already planning on knitting a sleeve for it!  Oh, and I'm going to name it Sheldon... after Sheldon Cooper, of course :)

"24" is back, betchezzz!  Unfortunately, that totally messes up my Monday night TV watching.  Let's see... there's "How I Met Your Mother," "Big Bang Theory" and "Chuck."  Thank jeebus for streaming video!!!!

"Your home is a trailer. Don't you see the beautiful poetry in that? It's a thing that's been designed to *go* someplace, and yet the hitch isn't hooked *up* to anything. So it just *sits* here, never living up to it's potential. But never in any danger of breaking down either."

TV reviews in emoticons and punctuation marks:

Battlestar Galactica - 3x17 - Maelstrom

Prison Break - 2x19 - Sweet Caroline

24 - 6x12 - 6:00PM to 7:00PM

I've yet to watch Heroes and The Black Donnellys. You know, if ya asked me years ago if Mondays would ever be this exciting, I would have answered with "meh" or "blah." I mean, before I started watching 24, there was only 7th Heaven. And who watches that show anyway, right? (Wait... what? It's still on TV?!?!!)

The following DVDs have been purchased:

I'm still waiting for DeepDiscount.com send me my copy of Borat. (Sidenote: I'm totally watching The Black Donnellys as I type this. Six minutes into the episode and I'm already SQUEE.)

Gaaah. Is it Sunday already? I'm itching to go to Disneyland and have a zipity-do-dah day. On a totally unrelated note, I have a new ring tone. Wanna know what it is? It's the CTU ring tone in 24. Heck yeah, I'm badass. Now if I can only get that ring tone on my work phone, that'd be swell.

Did I just say swell?

Anyways, back to the Donnellys, I go.

Monday was great because of: a) Prison Break and b) 24. I was also able to download the latest episode of Battlestar Galactica so I'm on a roll, people!!! The only downside is that I don't get to watch Heroes anymore so if someone can please direct me to an LJ community where I can download episodes, it would be much appreciated.

I also learned that yesterday was supposed to be "Blue Monday." My boss said that my peppiness was so wrong. LOL!!

Oscar nominations:

Jennifer Hudson FTW. She's basically the only nominee that I care about. I don't really care who wins in the other categories. Well... Abigail Breslin would be nice too.

It's past midnight and I'm starving.
I'm gonna go heat some chicken nuggets.

I love Veronica Mars. I do, I do, I do...
Even when the episodes are like, mediocre, I'm still all "OMG" about it. I love EVERYBODY in this show. I think the only person that I ever hated was that chick from Just Shoot Me. But yes. I love everyone. And I love Duncan. I don't give a fuck what you think.

And with that... I give you my reactions to tonight's episode in "list form."

I've been trying to get my sister to watch 24 but she didn't want to. She said that she already missed a lot of episodes so it's too late to start watching now. But alas, while I was watching the season 4 DVDs last week, she got hooked!!! She didn't even need to see any of the previous seasons! She just started going at it, man! I asked her what she thought of the show's "fantasticisms" and she said that they were "intensifying." LMAO!!! Dinkin' flicka, sis. Dinkin' flicka.

Why, yes. I'm in love.

I dunno what's happening, people!!! Ever since I started shipping these two, I've been deathly obsessed with the show! I swear, it didn't used to be like this! It used to be just a fun and energetic dance show, but now I have a SHIP! I actually have a reality TV ship! Sure, the guy's probably gay and the girl's probably not interested but I say they should just throw convention out the window and start DOING EACH OTHER!!! Cuz srsly. CHEMISTRY.

It's 12:32am and I'm still awake. I'm sleepy as hell, but OMG!YAY :) I haven't lost all my night-riding energy after all.

I swear, I meant to post free music, but... *yawns* Too tired. I have a music request, though. Can someone please, please, please, please...

... download a song for me? I know some of you can access Mp3s illegally and shamelessly so please... if you could... can you download Goapele's "Closer" for me? Just send it to me via YSI or something. I love this song SOOO MUCH, but I can only get the artist's MySpace version, which has a very sucky quality.

So once again... the song's name is "Closer" and the artist's name is Goapele.
Pretty please? With chocolate syrup on top? I'll love you forever <3

Thanks for the Mp3, [livejournal.com profile] 80sfiend!!! You *SO* totally rule!!!

LUSH should totally pay me for plugging their stuff.

I finally received season 3 of 24 in the mail today. You rock my world, Netflix. One more season and I'll be completely caught up with this show. And by the way... Tony and Michelle? Fricking awesome. And what's so great about them is that the romance aspect of their relationship wasn't even really emphasized on the show, you know? I mean, all it took was for them to address each other with a "hey" and I'm already squeeing with joy.

SYTYCD made me cry tonight. My boys from Sickstep really brought out the tears. *sniffs*

My FAVORITE website EVER is finally open!!!!

ZachBraff.Com, bitchezzzz!

I can't tell you enough how much I frigging LOVE this guy. Seriously -- I have a MAJOR CRUSH on him. Yes, I think he's hotter than that Sawyer dude from that one show. Cuz Zach Braff is teh sex, you hookers! He's the greatest! Reading his journal entries and watching his video blogs just makes my life so much better.

I've been *SO* fricking sleepy lately. You know I almost fell off my seat on the train yesterday cuz I totally dozed off. I almost dropped my mp3 player too! What the heck is up with that? I mean, last week I was totally wide awake, but this week I've been so tired!

Maybe I should just go to bed.

First off, a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my whitey, [livejournal.com profile] caalan!!! I hope you had a great one, honey! You're one year younger! This right here is for you:

Second, thanks to all of you who took the time to view my Jim/Pam music video! I'm glad you all liked it. And if you haven't seen it yet, you can check it out right here. It's never too late to squee.

Third --
OMG!!! 24 is going to be the death of me! Did you know that I actually had to STOP watching the damn ep because I didn't think my heart could take it? Yep, I turned away from the TV and I put it on mute. Srsly. I was so scared and nervous. ACK! I can't believe I have to wait 'til January to see Season 6!!! Must read spoilers NOW!

Anyways, I went to the mall today. Bought some blank CD's so I can clean up my laptop. I also bought an audio adaptor so I can connect my laptop to my TV... that way my sister and I can watch BSG without huddling together on my desk. Word.

So You Think You Can Dance is BACK on Thursdays!!! Woo hoo!!! The summer is looking pretty exciting already!

In other news, why am I suddenly in love with Schuyler Fisk? I saw the trailer for her new movie I'm Reed Fish and now I can't wait to buy the soundtrack. She has such a nice voice! And the movie looks awesome!!! I wanna watch it liek WHOA!

Anyways, before I go...

This whole time I thought it was only good for recording streaming music :D Anyways, come check it out, ya'll! It's of Pam and Jim from The Office. If you're already a TO fan, then come join the music video FUN! And if you're not, I hope this gives you an idea of why I'm so frigging obsessed with the show!!!

Duration - 2:15

Comments of squeeage are WELCOME! Feel free to bombard my YouTube page with *squee* and *meep* and *headdesk* Or if you just want to say "hi," go right ahead! I've nothing better to do :)

In other news, I had a very relaxing weekend. I uh... don't exactly remember what I did. I've finished downloading all the eps from season 2.5 of Battlestar Galactica, but I haven't watched any of them yet. I did get season 2 of 24 in the mail today! (Yay, Netflix!) But they've only sent the first disc. Anyways, I watched it with my brother and we had a grand ole' time biting our nails in suspense.

Ok, I suddenly remembered what I did this weekend. I watched VM. And Scrubs. Hence the usage of the song "Question" in my Jim/Pam video. I'm telling you, I *LOVE* my Scrubs soundtrack. It has the best songs! I mean, Carey Brothers and Bell Biv Devoe on the same playlist? Crazy awesome!

My laptop is so cluttered, it's starting to annoy me. I need to start deleting stuff again. Must transfer all music and video files on blank CD's. Must free up disk space!

I totally made a new wallpaper for my desktop. Check it out!

49 out of 52 icons uploaded. Will I ever get this done?

It's finals week at Loyola Marymount. The library is packed. It's crazy. I saw one of my student workers in her pajamas. I told her she looked raggedy. She said she's been studying for hours. Dang, I wish I could wear pajamas to work.

For a split second, I actually wished I was taking my finals again. I miss staying up with my roommates, man. I miss our 2AM junk food trips to Ralph's. But that's all I miss about finals week cuz finals week is REALLY brutal. If it weren't for junk food, I'd be ded.

3:49pm... 1 more hour 'til I go home. Veronica Mars at 9:00pm. House on TiVo. Scrubs on VHS tape. It all works out.

Tomorrow's LOST episode is probably the last episode of LOST that I'll ever watch. Then after that, they can all just kiss my ass. I wish they all end up killing each other.

Nobody's gonna respond to this post. Do I care? Yes, I do. But I'll try not to. Maybe I'll just peruse MySpace a bit. I finally tweaked my page and stuff. Some people have ugly ass layouts, though. They mess up my computer screen.

MySpace pet peeve:
When people load their pages with hella videos and hella songs. It's like... which one should I listen to, bastards?!!

Speaking of MySpace, "Kevin" from The Office sent me a private message, yo!!! Yeah, he's totally my boyfriend now. I said, "What's the haps, Kev?" And he's all, "Nothin much, Jillie-YO!" I'm cool. Except when I'm NOT.

Can Chloe O'Brien kick Mac's ass? I think she can.

As pointed out by [livejournal.com profile] mooners...

THIS IS MY 2,000th LJ ENTRY!!!

Come celebrate with me by... by... drinking water?!! Cuz that's what I'm drinking right now. Anyways, so yes... this is my 2,000th post. I feel like this is FanForum all over again! Remember when we used to celebrate milestones? Yeah, that was fun. I think I had about 40,000 posts before I left. Or was it 60,000? I forgot. But it was A LOT of posts. I'm still a bit peeved that my account was deleted. Tens and thousands of posts gone!!! I feel like a small part of me has been ripped away!! Damn you, Fanforum! Damn you!

Ok, this is not the way to celebrate my brilliant feat. Instead, let's talk about television...

Grey's Anatomy )
Prison Break )
24 )

Anyways, today I tripped over the porch steps and hit my knee on the concrete. Knee went BANG. Rogue went OWW! Knee goes THROB, THROB with pain. Ugh.

I'm leaving for NYC on Thursday night. I cannot be more excited about this. This is the first time I'm leaving Southern California, people!!! (Las Vegas don't count). I'm *so* going insane with anticipation. And I don't even care about any of the tourist attractions, man. I just wanna go to the Hershey's store. Oh, and I HAVE TO buy a Rubik's cube from Toys R Us or FAO Schwartz. I know, I know... I can buy a Rubik's cube anywhere. But at least I can say, "Yeah I got that from New York!"

And my co-workers were all, "You have to go to Ellis Island!" "You have to visit the Statue of Liberty!" "You have to go to Ground Zero." And I'm like, "Man... I'm going to LUSH!"

Anyways, since we can't afford any Broadway shows (nor are we willing to stand around in line, waiting for the cheap tickets), we're just gonna go to The Laugh Factory and catch a comedy show.

Ooooh, you know what would be cool? I know this is dorky, but if I bring my laptop with me, I can log on to LiveJournal on Saturday evening just so I can post, "LIVE FROM NEW YORK, IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT!" Cuz then I'd actually mean it, you know? Like I'll be making an LJ post, live from New York, on a Saturday night.

Yes. I am a neo-maxi-zun-dweebie.

Buffy follows me everywhere. Like in tonight's episode of 24, for example. Audrey Raines mentioned the name "Jane Espenson." JANE ESPENSON, yo!!! I had to re-watch the scene 3 times to convince myself that I was't hearing things. And I wasn't! Audrey said "Jane Espenson!" One of the main writers on BTVS!

(LOL! I think David Fury's responsible for this. Who wrote this episode anyway?)

Um... in other news, it's still raining. And my sister's sick. This week's not gonna be a happy one.

I love [livejournal.com profile] audiography. I just got a bootleg of Ben Folds doing an improv song called "R-O-C-K with your C-O-C-K out." Man, it was hilarious. Not as hilarious as these two Chinese dudes that I keep talking about, but amusing nonetheless.

Anyways, I had a dream about ______________ a week ago. Unfortunately, it was too perfect and wonderful for me to actually forget about it. So guess what? I haven't! And it's both fulfilling and frustrating at the same time. Maybe I should channel all these feelings into writing a fanfic. Hmmm... let's see... what to write about?

Ah crap. What am I talking about? I'm uninspired. Anything I write right now would be crap compared to this one. Hmm... maybe I should just go to sleep.

YouSendIt.com is pissing me off. You'd think that after getting hi-speed Internet, uploading and downloading files would actually be hi-speed. But no. I feel like I should kick someone's ass.

Speaking of the Internets, my bill for Comcast finally came. $88 bucks for the first month and a half. Please shoot me now.

"MySpacing" with my cousins is fun. Especially with the young-uns. I just had a conversation with my cousin Lea about baby animals and it was like, the best thing ever. We'd just send each other private messages back and forth. I guess while you're at work thinking about job-related things it's nice to just talk to a kid about... puppies or something. Yeah... and sometimes when I'm on my desk, I just want to color. Yeah, color. You know, I get jealous because my student workers are going on their Spring Break next week. And I'm thinking, "FUCK! I don't get to have Spring Breaks anymore!"

I'll be spending this weekend picking out white lint from my black clothing. *headdesk* Remember my "dust bunny" episode from last Monday? Well, now my big dust-bunny of a sweater infected all my other clothes. White lint all over my black hoodie and my black gaucho pants!!! Gaaah! And the frigging lint remover wasn't helping at all! I actually have to pick all the lint off with my own fingers! Some of them I have to actually cut with scissors because they've gotten tangled with the threads! *sighs* I've got a lot of fabric to cover...

Ah well, I'll just pick lints while having a 24 marathon.

Nope, haven't seen 24 yet. My sister surprisingly came home early today so she spent all her free time catching up with TiVo. Yeah, I think we ended up watching 8 shows in a row. But anyways, she told me to watch 24 some other time because she wanted to see last night's Grey's Anatomy. And since I'm such an AWESOME sister, I said okay :D

Now let me talk about my emergency trip to the bookstore:
I was at work today and I noticed that my backpack had all sorts of dust bunnies on it. So I was like, "Where did all this dust bunnies come from?" Then I went to my co-worker's office to tell her about my dust bunny story when all of a sudden all these teeny tiny dust bunnies started flying around! So we were like, "Dude... what in the heck are those?" We had no idea where they're coming from so I just started fanning my hands all over the place.

I excused myself to go to the bathroom and while I was washing my hands, I realized that all these dust bunnies were clinging to my new sweater! I started brushing them off like mad when I noticed that they were coming from ME! My sweater, I mean! These wooly thread thingies had done rolled themselves up like a joint and decided to... well... get high. As in fly around, I mean. My sweater was like... shedding or something! Of course, it didn't take long for me to start itching all over the place so I frigging ran to the bookstore and bought a t-shirt. A guy t-shirt, I might add. Which reminds me... thank Jeebus for PINK guy shirts!!! It's a definite plus for us girls who like to... wear guy shirts.

24 is so frigging awesome, I want to tape it, TiVo it, and watch it over and over again just so I can put an exclamation point at the end of each DUUUUDDE's and WHAT-THE-EFF's that just happen to come out of my mouth. I mean, [livejournal.com profile] sleepymonster is right, yo -- this is a waaay better show than LOST (which has totally lost it's "nerve-wrecking" quality). Is it like this all the time? I only started watching 24 a week ago so I don't know if you're at the edge of your seat every fricking minute of every episode. But dang... this is awesome! It's been on TV for like, five years now and it's still high-intensity? Color me amazed.

(BTW... co-executive producer David Fury? I didn't know he worked on this show! From Buffy to Angel to LOST to 24? The guy's going places!)

Anyways, I was so busy at work yesterday, it's like I showed up at 7:30 in the morning and 1 hour later, it's already 5 o'clock. Faaaantastic. I wish every work day is like that. And it's not like I was tired or anything. I was busy, yes, but the job didn't suck the life out of me. It was pretty awesome.

In other news, I'm thinking of starting a new project. I mean, my RFR soundtrack is still in the works (I'm gonna keep finding those hard-to-find songs, man), but right now I think I'm gonna start a BTVS music collection. Yes... yes, I will. Soon enough I'm gonna need a bigger capacity mp3 player.

I just love going to the Paul Mitchell School.
Got my haircut, got my hair colored... and about four Paul Mitchell students walked by and told me how beautiful my hair was. One of them even asked me if he could please do my hair cuz it just looks too fabulous (Unfortunately for him, I'd already made an appointment with another hairdresser). LOL! Even my hairdresser was like, "I agree. Your hair should be in shampoo commercials." *squee* Oh, my ego is on cloud nine right now. This should happen more often!

Other things that made my weekend OMG!Yay:
- Two nights and four hours of 24
- Going to the "99 Ranch" store and buying hella' noodles
- Sleeping in
- Finishing Neil Gaiman's Stardust
- Four Golden Globe wins for Brokeback Mountain (which I haven't seen yet, but I'm definitely rooting for)
- Watching Wonderfalls on DVD

"If Veronica Mars is so cheap to produce (compared, say, to the per-episode budget of a show like Lost), how can it be so good? It bears little resemblance to life as I know it, but I can't take my eyes off the damn thing."

On a rather "ouchy" note... I twisted my ankle. The first in 2006. How many times will I twist my ankle this year?
